Fatigued Pococurante

So another year has passed and all I feel is more confused. Sunday evening, and the white noise is paler in this room. Now another year has passed and it was eventful, in the regular way. I'm feeling the desire to bury my face in these warm shadows and stay curled close here forever. And summer rolls around again, and never have I been more restless for the end of stretching myself thin, tying myself in knots, and coming up short. I feel I'm a balloon, already deflated, being dragged along the ground by the tail of my string. Yet another year

Regression of an AtheistTrust is faith and I am an atheist with an emotional hangover from adolescent romance.
Regression, regression, it's pulling me back; watch my shape diminish in the darkness, tired eyes and clenched fists full of earth - greys shading my mind grudgingly to accept uncertainty. I hear the tremble torn from my lips, denial turning to, once again, "if you love me...." Overanalysis (paranoia) eating me to an empty husk.
Trust is faith and I am an atheist who was almost converted, but it's the same trick; think I'd know it by now.
